Recent Projects

Progressive’s staff has worked on more than 500 challenging remediation, plant process, and waste minimization projects for a variety of industrial, municipal, and other clients. Our experience includes sites regulated under CERCLA, RCRA, state/local orders or decrees, and hydrocarbon remediation programs.

Our staff has coordinated minimization and/or remediation of a wide variety of environmental concerns including hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, metals, pesticides, LNAPLs, DNAPLs, and other impacts in soil and groundwater, as well as air impacts.

Progressive’s expertise with remedial system designs/enhancements has been acknowledged by major engineering firms, which often hire us to prepare and/or review designs for their projects. As a testimony of our achievements:

  • Progressive serves as the preferred engineering firm for a major petroleum products transporter in the United States. Progressive was selected for this position over other large, national engineering firms. We perform remedial engineering system design, including preparation of plans and specifications, procurement of equipment, contractor selection, preparation of O&M plans, startup, and performance evaluations, for all of its environmentally impacted sites. Progressive also prepared company standards to streamline engineering designs and govern the remedial investigation, remedial strategy development and cleanup of all of this client’s impacted sites.
  • Progressive’s principals have worked on a variety of environmental and engineering tasks for military installations including MacDill AFB, Luke AFB, and Jacksonville Naval Air Station. Such experience included: site assessment, baseline surveys, endangered species surveys, lift station design/build, restoration of wastewater septic system and drainfield, wastewater treatment plant permitting, design of spray irrigation systems, firing range assessments, groundwater and soil sampling/analyses, delineation of jet fuel and other contaminant plumes, and design of various remedial systems.
  • Progressive is often called upon to share its expertise and first hand knowledge of innovative and traditional remediation technologies for training purposes. For example, Princeton Groundwater, one of the world’s most respected environmental consulting and training companies, has a long-term contract with Progressive for instruction of remediation technologies at The Princeton Remediation Course. Also, Progressive has provided environmental remediation training services to the U.S. Government for personnel overseas (Germany), regulatory agencies in Kansas and Wyoming, industrial personnel at a major fertilizer manufacturer in Florida, and regulatory agencies and industry leaders in Brazil.
